Hey malt fanatics ...
So, I notice a lot of love here for the various single malts of Islay ... with one notable exception: Bowmore. I can't swing a dead cat in here without hitting a Lover of Lagavulin and a Laphroaig Laddie ... Coal Ila and Ardbeg have plenty of admirers here too ... and Bruchladdich as well ... but when's the last time someone actually mentioned (let alone spoke in glowing terms of) Bowmore?
Truth be told, I last tried Bowmore many years ago, and was unimpressed. So no, I'm not trying to promote my favourite ... more a matter of wondering if I am not alone in being uninterested in that one particular Islay distillery ... and wondering why you other Islay-lovers don't cotton on to Bowmore?
No love for Bowmore?
