... I suppose you could say that I'm new to ravenously hoarding wet shaving gear. Or, that I'm new again to being a wet shaving enthusiast. I spent a chunk of time working at a shop that sells some great supplies, but I think I've learned once and for all that I just shouldn't work at a job where I sell my hobbies.
Or maybe it was because they were too enamored with the super-luxury brand stuff, which I feel, in retrospect, misses the point a little. $40 soaps don't usually work four times better than $10 soaps, am I right? I mean, everyone's gotta make their money, but I suppose my wet shaving philosophy is that you can you should be able to save money - not just a little, but a HELL of a lot - while getting the best shaves on Earth, right in front of your own bathroom mirror.
(And then blow all the money you saved, buying every soap, brush and splash you can get your hands on.)
