I had the night off work, and decided to give cold shaving a try (well, as cold as tap water is in 90-something degree heat). Honestly, after my 3rd pass, my beard really wasn't reducing much. So, I started J-Hooking it all over my neck. No big deal, I thought, if worse comes to worse and I butcher my neck, I don't have to be seen in public until Friday. My humble Astra Platinum was singing! Finished up, rinsed, applied my Thayers and aftershave and completely expected to pay the price for turning my blade loose on my neck...nothing. Two hours later, still nothing. No visible irritation, no itching. No stubble in any direction except for one tiny spot that I regularly have to blade buff. This is the smoothest my neck has been since I started growing facial hair. I've been doing this a month and a half now. In that time, all of my advice has come from here. No nicks, no weepers, only one small ingrown hair. In short- yall are awesome.
