I bought a Delta Unica in orange celluloid this week. It's a beautiful pen, but it does have some staining of the section. In trying to disassemble the pen for cleaning, I have discovered that the nib and feed do come out. However, there is a black plastic cylinder that "lines" the section and that seems to be fixed in place.
If I wanted to try to get as much of the ink out as possible, should I try to remove it? Soak the whole thing in water (or Goulet's pen flush, although I need to check to see if it is celluloid safe)?
Ultimately, it may simply come down to a pen with a stained section. It's a beautiful enough pen that feels nice to write with that I intend on keeping it regardless. It would be nice to clean it up a bit, though.
Anyone with any ideas or suggestions?
