While I was at the grocery store last night, I came across a 6oz. tub of Shea Moisture Shave Butter Creme in the men's HBA aisle. I decided I'd give it a try since I'm always on the lookout for good shaving creams I can buy locally. I've tried a variety of creams over the years but when I peeled back the protective film from this one, I could tell it was much different than any other cream I've tried before. First of all, when I say it's thick, I mean it. Loading up my brush this morning was like loading it up with peanut butter. It didn't lather so much as smear on. Also, the cream has an interesting odor that's not at all perfumy. I wouldn't say it smells good but it doesn't smell terrible either. Still, I got a decent shave out of it and my skin was nice & soft afterwards. But rinsing out my brush took a bit longer than usual and cleanup can be a little messy. I'm not sure I'd buy it again but it's not going in the trash either. Has anyone else here tried it out? If so, what did you think of it?
