So I received this vintage paddle coti. Nice piece of stone. Hard and fine and due to its size it's pretty fast. But I need an advice.
The wooden base soaks up water. And I'm a little worried that it might become a problem. I can tell that the base shrinks during the drying process. The stone is secured onto the base so if I were to remove it I would have to cut it lose.
What would you do? Cut it loose? Lacquer the base or do nothing and hope for the best?
