I just purchased this brush, along with another, smaller brush, from Brad Sears. For those of you not familiar with Brad's work he is a master wood-turner and has recently sourced some hand-tied Manchurian knots. Brad is the only one using these dense and firm three-band Manchurian knots and they are something really unique. This brush is in perfect condition and has only been lathered a few times. It has lost a hair or two during the break-in period, but the last two uses had no such loss. The G3 handle style was developed by Brad and myself and although has been duplicated since, this is the first brush made in this style (and I have the certificate, which is included, to prove it). It is a large handle and fits well in hand with a nice hefty balance. The resin is an imported premium British type, which Brad charges a premium for. The knot features soft, yet scrubby tips, with no scritch and has firm backbone due to the density but is not a lather hog like many similar designed brushes. I quite honestly prefer this over both the Simpson Chubby Best and Super brushes of recent manufacture. I prefer smaller knots in general, though, so am passing this on at a great price to another lucky guy.
