Has anyone done a shave comparison between the two different models of Gem Open Comb Micromatic's? I have used ,what I believe is the older model. (Silver tone)The one with the raised bumps on the mounting plate. I like the way it shaves. This week I picked up one (Gold tone) that does not have the raised bumps and the box and instruction describe it as the New Micromatic. There is also a slight difference with top . The New has angle built into it. My thought is that is to get a slant type motion in the shave stroke. I haven't used it yet but I'm planning on using it for tomorrow morning.
I'll try do update this after shaving alternately with these two for the rest of the month.
If anyone has used both types please chime in with your opinions.
