It is with a heavy heart that I announce the closing of RAE's Tobacco Shop in Strawberry Square, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Founded by Retired U.S. Army Colonel Alfred Winston Baker as a hobby business after he left the military. As an aside, Colonel Baker was the father of actor Charles Baker, who played Skinny Pete on Breaking Bad.
RAE's has been a second home to me since 1998, and was a large part of my life. I worked there when they needed someone to cover the shop. Some of the items I have PIFed and donated to the Sue Moore Auction were either donated by RAE's or sold to me at cost. Over the years, RAE's has given thousands of dollars worth of cigars to deployed U.S. Troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. I will miss it greatly.
Starting tomorrow, March 1, 2016 we will be selling everything in the shop at 40% off retail price. If they can determin a proper retail price, they are even willing to sell me. In store only, we have never done Internet or phone sales. If you're looking to stock up, come visit us.
