This razor is for my brother, his first straight razor. Its a French type with a chiseled spine and hand made oak scales. Honestly the most difficult part was the scales. I don't have any major power tools and it was all done with hand saws, a bit of dremel work and a lot of sanding. 3 coats of stain plus 3 coats of shellac. The acid etching says "Dead Red" which is his nickname. I have spent a lot of time with it and I am pretty pleased with the result. I don't know that it would win any awards, but it took a lot of work. I have appreciated being a lurker on this thread which helped me a ton on this project.
