For Christmas, the wife got me a Pilot Metropolitan with a fine nib. In an effort to improve my everyday penmanship, I was looking at picking up the Spencer theory and workbooks, but I know the Metro won't do the line variances, however delicate, that are found in traditional Spencerian. Would it be a waste to pick these up? I'm not yet ready to venture into dip pens/oblique holders/etc., but I feel that the Palmer Method isn't quite what I'm looking for.
Any suggestions? I can't navigate the iampeth site to save my life, but that may be because I'm limited to the movie site.
