I just purchased a new Semogue Owners Club 2 Band Badger based on reviews and needing a new brush. I bowl lather, but when applying the lather to my face and building the lather spending around a minute to a minute and a half. The problem I'm having with this brush after applying the lather to my face using the new brush, while shaving I get the feeling of burning, like there's an irritation to a shave soap. There's no redness, just the feeling. I've determined it has to be the new brush because I have a broken in boar (Semogue 830). Using the boar, I can bowl lather and face lather with the same shaving soaps without this burning effect while shaving. I've been lathering the Semogue Owners Club 2 Band Badger daily and sometimes twice daily since Jan. 21, 2016 to get it broken in.
My daily shave process includes:
Add water to the puck and put the brush in warm water.
Wash area to be shaved for 1-2 minutes with soap.
Rinse face, message in Proraso pre-shave.
Load brush 1-2 minutes depending on the soap brand.
Rinse face, and apply lather to face to build a thick face lather.
Shave (with Edwin Jagger DE89)
Soap brands I have used with both brushes to test this. No burning with the boar, but facial burning with the Semogue Owners Club 2 Band Badger (only while shaving).

Thanks to all.
Can anyone give any suggestions? Does this brush need to be broken in? How long will it take?
