The thread about the never-opened D1 Toggle reminded me of something I've been curious about...
Most of my vintage razors are of the run-of-the-mill sort, but two, a G3 Aristocrat Adjustable and an NDC Milord, are higher-end razors which would have been part of a presentation set (although I don't have cases for either). If I understand it correctly, these razors, unlike the typical Slim Adjustable and SuperSpeed, would probably have been intended as gifts for some occasion such as Father's Day, Christmas or a birthday. At least this is what the advertising would lead one to believe.
So I was wondering... If you were the lucky husband or father who received one of these razors, how/when would you have used it? Would you have put aside your old razor and used the new one every day or would this razor have just been for specific shaves?
