So I have had a Gillette New OC that is gold plated for a few months now. It shaves very smooth and in pretty good shape overall with some plate loss on the head.
I ended up getting a Gillette Old OC in a lot purchase on eBay and never used it until today. From my first impressions, I feel like the Old was a smoother shave than the New and felt less aggressive. The only caveat is that one of the end tooth is bent inwards (it looks like it got dropped at some point in its 90 years existence). It didn't affect the shave but wondering if it is worth trying to straighten it out. I have saw older threads that said "DO NOT ATTEMPT". So I am leaning towards keeping as is.
Do you guys have any preference over the New OC vs Old OC? I believe both of mine are short comb.
