So through careful investigation, you find out who the culprit was that ruined...no, murdered this priceless treasure. Background Checks for everyone, polygraphs, Chinese Water Torture if you must. Then when you find out who he or she is...maybe possibly they (can't rule out premeditated conspiracy)...find something precious of theirs and destroy it publicly..a sippy cup perhaps. A favorite plush toy. The cow says moo! I don't know...possibilities are endless.
