This arrived a few days ago and I discovered a bit of play in the mechanism. Must be some sort of stop that has come loose inside. It does function fine when tightened but when open you can push or pull the twist knob and the main shaft moves in and out operating the doors. I am hopeful it is an easy fix. Read where you can notch a screwdriver to take out the bottom screw but I would rather an expert work on it.
Also have a D3 Fatboy that needs a mech fix and maybe a bit of resto depending on cost. I have pm'd Cpt. Murphy a few times and haven't heard back, is he still available to work on vintage razor items? If not who would be the best alternate to help out with both?
