Back when I was 5 years old (1969)my dad came home with a green Avon car full of aftershave. I told him that I wanted it when he finished the AS. He did and I put the car on my window seal. I played with it like all kids do. I just thought it was the coolest thing. At Christmas a few years later I wanted to give my uncle (He lived with us. We were close in age) something so I boxed and wrapped the car, one of my prized possessions. He opened the gift and said "alright Avon aftershave!!" He unscrewed the luggage cap to find nothing, a huge disappointment on his face and a "what the....?" remark. Everyone in the livingroom looked at over at me and started laughing. I don't know what happened to the original car but about 1990 we were over at my Mom and Dad's for Christmas when I was handed a gift from Mom with a big grin on her face. I opened the gift to find an empty green bottle of Avon aftershave. I thought my mother, dad, brother and uncle were going to pee in their pants from laughing. My wife had no clue So, for years after that we would pass that green Avon AS bottle around to each other, but not every year. Ya, never know when that sucker will show up. I love Avon.
