Would be lying if didn't say I was scared-to-death for my 1st shave with a DE razor this morning..
However, I am happy to report I was astounded how easy it was to get a great shave! I could not believe how easy it was to find the angle with this razor, perfectly audible, glides like a dream - no razor burn, 3 passes and voila! Shaving euphoria! Why did I wait this long?
This forum helped tremendously without which would have no doubt made this journey impossible for me otherwise.
As far as the kit goes - wow! Above the Tie S1 with Colossus handle is incredibly easy to use and the weight just makes it glide effortlessly. Incredible piece of craftsmanship in every regard. I highly recommend this razor!
The soap I chose is Martin de Candre (unscented) for my sensitive skin, as only has 4 or 5 ingredients (very clean stuff). I couldn't be happier with the product as well, very creamy lather, very slick, great post shave - perfection.
The brush: Simpson Chubby CH1 very easy to grip, just the right size (for me) and provided a wonderful creamy lather.
I wanted to post a review of my 1st shaving experience as I'm sure there are plenty like myself wanting to make the switch away from cartridges but have no idea which way to go. All I can say is do your research and take your time finding what fits your needs best. I hope some find this helpful!
