Hey folks,
New straight razors and thereby new to honing them. However, I cook for a living, so I already own a handful of stones and I'm pretty ok at making edges sharp. I own a 1k Naniwa Chosera (which seems to be a popular stone here), a Naniwa Super Stone 5k and a King 6k (and a few in between). I'm wondering, however, if I were to invest in a 12k stone (like another Naniwa SS), if that'd be a fine edge, or if you think I need another stone in between (8k?)? I understand the honing itself is quite a hobby, but I'd like to start out with the essentials to fix my own edges. Thank you in advance for all the input!

6K to 12K too big of a jump?
