After many years of fine woodworking/refinishing ,and recent retirement I have been working on micarta techniques with my tinkering time. (I posted some DE handle pics on the DE forum). Although not a straight razor user, I just had to try this uneven lamination technique on something essentially flat. The color and figuring combination is pretty unlimited. Anyway, my first attempt. I copied the shape from pics on here, and it took much more time than I thought. I was thinking about pinning in a blade, but no experience in doing that and wouldn't want to ruin the finish. The high gloss on the micarta was a challenge.
