I'm relatively new to cigar smoking Ive been reading up on it a lot I'm not sure that I would need get to humidor just yet but I had an off the cuff idea as how to store my cigars when I finally take the plunge. I have a tobacco tin from the 1940s produced by a company called Duck it that I keep some tobacco in as I smoke pipes to I was wondering if I could clean that out and keep a few cigars in there the reason I ask is because it has little a cylinder at the top that you get it wet and keeps your tobacco moist. I would just wondering if that would work for cigar storage for now? Keep in mind I have no idea what I'm talking about I just thought it might work. I've also watch YouTube on how to make an inexpensive humidor but all roads lead to the same answer you get what you pay for which is obvious I just don't have the money to be spending on an expensive humidor in general. I'm pretty sure I'll like cigar smoking as I do with pipe smoking. I say this because as a kid I was given a series of sensory test. And I absolutely love the smell of pipe tobacco burning along with cigars anyway enough of my rambling. One thing I was also curious about I saw a this cigar cutter called the perfect cut or something like that I was wondering if That would be a good thing to get because I only have use of one arm and I don't want to go messing up cigars. Also I'm trying to think of a way to stabilize the cigar while I cut it kind of like a stand maybe anybody has any ideas you're welcome to share them. Either that or my wife's probably going to have to do it.
