What kind of oil are you using on your razor(s)? I'm currently using mineral oil, but I'm not happy with it since seeing it on the steel under the microscope, and noticing that it's beading up like water on a freshly waxed car, thus leaving a lot of room for rust to rear it's ugly head. Excuse the poor photo (it's hard to hold steady under magnification) , but I think you can see what I'm talking about. The little white dots are droplets of mineral oil.
