Hello Folks... I picked up some razors over the weekend and I have a couple of questions regarding them.
The first razor I picked up looks to be a Coles Slant razor, I am not sure of the date. If I was to take a wild guess I believe it to be circa late 50's or mid 60's? Were these slants brass bodies or the current Zamak models we see with the Merkur Slant 37C? The Coles box came loaded with 12 of the Wilkinson Sword blades produced in England.
The Gold Gillette Ball End Contract Tech is in decent shape, however the lacquer looks to be worn out on the top cap with some plating loss, 1946.
The Gillette black handled Flare Tip SS production code O3, 1969. The razor looks barely used decent shape overall.
GEM Junior razor 1912 patent, looks like the model after ASR-GEM and Ever-Ready merged. I am guessing here but the razor might be circa late 1930's early 40's.. I defer to the experts here.
Gillette Old Type, I am not sure if the handle is the correct one for this razor. One of the teeth has a slight bend to it but overall is in good shape. Guessing 1920's.
Neillite bakelite razor guessing the 40's looks decent.
Gillette Canadian Fat Handle Tech, no triangular slots in good shape guessing before the 40's.
British Gillette Flare Tip Rocket Brit. Pat. 694093 with an A stamped underneath the head. I am guessing this is from the late 50's.
If anyone else has more information to provide on any of these razors, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.
