My work has a fitness incentive program where you can take a fitness test that scores you on a number of different categories, and then gives a sum of cash based on overall score.
I do well on the test, apparently because a bike is my predominant mode of transportation. I never go to a gym (other than to take this test) and I rarely do anything purely for the sake of exercise.
When I take the test again in January, I would like for once to get the top score for pushups, which for my age means that I will have to do 21. There is no time limit, I just have to do 21 pushups in succession.
I did 17 last time and then bunked out. 17 was enough to get me to 4 out of 5 for this category. Next time I will be in a new age group, and standards are lower. 21 gets me 5 out of 5.
So, apart from the obvious training by doing pushups over the next few months, and working myself up to that number, does anyone have any suggestions on how I should get there? Upper body strength is not my, uh, strength.

A modest goal: 21
