I'm new to B&B (my first post). I'm an international-living (south asia), frequently traveling sourcing agent in need of something a bit more versatile than my current Filson 256 brief in tan (which I adore). I am a huge fan of Filson products (I have the small duffle and obviously the brief), and want to add a backpack to the collection, but am confused as to what I should get. I normally carry a 13 in computer, a book or two, motorcycle gear (my commuting vehicle), and other small items.
The Rucksack:
- It gets good reviews and looks amazing. I have heard, however, that the internal layout is lacking and that it doesn't sit right on the back once packed. However, I like the 2 pockets for accessibility (there might be a kid to carry stuff for in the coming years) and obviously the overall appearance.
The Tin Cloth Backpack:
- Appears smaller, but has better internal layout and the tin fabric going for it. I don't mind the appearance of this bag.
Basically, I'm sure either one would serve me well for ages, but I want to make a good choice. Also, I don't have the luxury of "buy both, send one back," unfortunately, so that recommendation isn't super helpful. Does anyone have experience with either of these bags? HELP!
