For me Gillette and badger brushes are both important icons in the WS.
When I started WS, I can not wait to get a badger brush (Simpsons colonel X2L).
After using a very few times, I found it's not suitable for me because of lack of backbone.
I bought another famous badger brush, Semogue SOC 2 band badger brush because it is good in providing enough backbone.
I was disappointed again..
I remember I searched another badger brush eagerly at that time.
Thanks GOD. I did not purchase another badger brush.
(Even my wife wanted to give a very good badger brush to me.)

I have been back to my boars for months (Semogue 610 and Omega 11037).
In my experiences with these two badger brush, badger brushes always give me soft but scrub feeling.
Conversely, if I give my boars a good hot-water soaking,
they are so soft with very little scrub feeling while face-lathering.
I am quite content with my boar team now and have stopped searching a new badger brush for several weeks.
