I have a 3 week old Simpson 58 and a 1 1/2 year old Simpson Colonel both in best.
The 58 has been used about 10 times and the Colonel was used almost daily for the past 1 1/2 years.
I use creams exclusively. The 58 seems to require about double the amount of cream and water that the Colonel requires to make a usable amount of lather. Also, it seems that the majority of the lather with the 58 is internal in the bristles and refuses to release or come to the surface.
Thus even with double the cream and water, the 58 does not apply near as much product to my face as the Colonel and what is applied is thinner and not as robust as what the Colonel usually applies.
What's up/what am, I doing wrong?
The 58 has great backbone and is very plush with nice soft tips but maybe I should have bought another Colonel.
