I have successfully honed on the following stones: King 1000, Naniwa super stone 3000/8000 combo, Suehiro 6000 and C12000 .
If I were to go with a different finisher would a Naniwa 10k or Apache strata be better? I have read that the Naniwa 12k is just as good but harder and therefore I presume would require less lapping.
If cash is tight are these is it OK to buy used or should one just save up for new?
