I ordered a Gentleman Jon alum block off Amazon a few weeks back. I dry it after every use, but it seems there's a hollow cavity and is disintegrating from the inside. One side is starting to fall apart, and I get small specks of the crystals on my face. Instead of getting smoother, it is getting rougher and not very pleasant to use. Some reviewers on Amazon had the same issues I have with this particular block. It was cheap enough, but I expected a much longer life than what I'm getting. I'd like to try another brand; any suggestions? Also, any way to salvage what's left of mine? (can you dissolve these into witch hazel, etc.??) Thank you!
