vintage vs new Arkansas hones for finishers

I was thinking I might get something new to try as a finisher. I was looking on the bay and saw a few smaller "hard" Arkansas hones. Anyone know anything about these? Which are good vs not good as a razor finisher? What to look for? What to avoid?



Pike? Case? Smith's?



How do they compare with the small translucent or blacks from Dan's?
