Strops
First up are two strops. The first strop (on top) is a 3" Tony Miller Premium Steerhide with green cotton for the second component. This strop has a smooth, light draw. Tony is not currently offering this type of leather. We are all familiar with the superb crafmanship on Tony's strops.
The second strop (on the bottom) is a 3" Walking Horse Horsehide with white cotton for the second component. This strop has a very light, crisp draw. Walking Horse strops are only available at The Superior Shave or WCS, and are difficult to get. The craftsmanship in this strop is not of the same quality of the Tony Miller, but the light draw of horsehide is truly unique.
I'm the original owner of these strops. These have been working strops for the past 3 years. If you're looking for pristine leather, these strops are not for you. While they are in very good shape, they do have some small nicks and scratches reflecting that they have had daily use and have not just been hanging in a collection. You should also be aware that the TM has a few dark spots, where it was touched with moist fingers. The light cream color of the TM Premium Steerhide will always do this if it comes into contact with any moisture. Also, horsehide, even when new, has all sorts of natural marks on it.
I'm selling these because I have the exact same strops with linen for the second component, which I prefer. I have never applied anything to either the leather or cotton.

Dovo Inox Razor
This is the Dovo Inox 4155846 razor. It is a 5/8" full-hollow razor. In its original form it is all stainless, including the handle. I found the stainless handle too heavy, resulting in an unbalanced razor. I had Glen Mercurio of Gemstar Customs (gssixgun on SRP) put the razor in vintage scales, which is what you see now.
I am the original owner of this razor and want to make full disclosure as to its condition. This is the razor I learned to hone on 3 years ago. I used it extensively for shaving and honing, as I practiced every aspect of honing on various hones. As a result, the spine has honing wear on it. The edge and the rest of the blade are in excellent condition, with no blemishes on the shiny stainless steel, but you will clearly see the hone wear on the spine and it is uneven in some spots. Due to this hone wear on the spine, I have discounted this razor significantly from its usual selling price of $176 - $189, if you can find one.
I think this razor will be ideal to learn straight razor shaving and honing on. It is a superb shaver, easy to maintain, and not more difficult to hone than carbon steel.
There is also an issue with the vintage scales. One of the scales is slightly narrower than the other. The only time you will notice this is if you stand the razor on its bottom, when you will see that it tilts slightly towards the side with the narrower scale. I tried to illustrate this on the third picture. By the way, that third picture shows what appears to be a black spot at the tip of the blade. That's a lighting issue. The steel on the entire blade is shiny and blemish free.
I'm selling this razor because I have developed a preference for 7/8" quarter-hollow straights.
