What razor combines new technology and vintage durability?

I'm in the market for an open comb deluxe version of the Ikon - from what i have read, it seems to be a great shaver and well built. I am not in favor of the black head of the current iteration and really just want to buy a razor and forget about it - hence the appeal of an all stainless razor...I also like the cohesive look of the razor all in that matte silver finish.



Questions I have:

• Is the Ikon Deluxe OC - including the cap - a 100% stainless razor?


• I have a problem with getting under the nose are - and have found my Gillette Slim a bit too bulky for this spot, and even my EJ89 is a tad thick in this regard , I do I really like the low profile of the pre-war Tech that I have been using- is the Ikon a slim razor along these lines?


• Have there been any rusting problems noticed if the top cap gets scratched on the Ikon?

I guess I am looking for something modern with the durability of the vintage! I want a bullet proof razor which is on the mild side...any advice regarding the Ikon or mild alternates based on the criteria above?
