I have always hated shaving. Every pull of a M3 across my skin felt like three blades hooking into my whiskers and yanking them out. I grew up seeing my great uncle's DE razor, brush, and lather cup and thought I would give that a try. I found an inexpensive Van Der Hagen at target and thought, "what the heck, I'll give it a try, can't be any worse than a M3." Best feeling shave I ever had! I was hooked instantly!
i have now upgraded my razor and am working through a sample pack of blades to find what I like best. Based on what I'm reading here at B&B, I will figure out the blade I like then move on to the soap. One thing at a time and enjoy the ritual of it. I so enjoy the ritual of it.
Shaving has has gone from something I avoided like the plague to something I look forward too!
