iKon - DLC or not to DLC, that is the question.

Hoping for a little help from those better experienced.



So the easiest part is done - I know I want an iKon Deluxe Open Comb. But...



I'm not yet 100% sold on the new DLC coating. A little concerned that if it takes a knock or flakes then it'll be ratty and might even compromise any benefits of the smoother coating. Maybe flaking is an impossibility or...



Anyway, given the current market would you suggest jumping on the latest DLC or the generation earlier in stainless (used)? A little meat on the why would be greatly appreciated.
