Some time last month I got an Ikon OC Deluxe and the first couple of shaves had me hooked on the razor but were also slightly irritating. I assumed this was because of blade matching because I had hit a stride of nick free BBS's with my 30's New and 58 superspeed (using crystals and feathers) so when those blades weren't working i assumed it was the fault of the blades. Tonight I realized I was wrong I loaded a feather into my Ikon and took it slow and analyzed my technique. I noticed that I was applying pressure because of the extra weight from the Bulldog handle. However I realized this going XTG on my neck and suffered a nick. The rest of the shave was quite enjoyable I have a new found love for the Ikon and a new found respect for the basics :thumbup1:
