for me the vdh makes a much thicker,slicker lather. I don't think I am doing anything wrong. it is hard for me to believe a $3.50 soap is so much more to my liking than a $13 one. I guess it is personal preference. I would fully expect the vdh to be rubbish. it is my favorite soap. I guess lucky for my wallet. the deluxe vdh for $1 is even better imo. I can't get it anymore but luckily I bought 5 cases! I am not just a cheapskate. I really like it best. I have tried $50 veggie soaps(don't remember name,it looks like ice cream) and not as good to me imo. I don't mean to be a fanboy either. it is just my experience. actually I think most people would not prefer vdh.
