I bought this Ever-Ready 200 brush for .50 cents! Time to do my first restore.

I tried steaming for 1.5hrs but the knot wouldn't release.

I then pulled the hairs out with pliers. That sorta sucked, but it worked.

I then used a Dremel with a grout removal bit and slowly cleaned it up. I still need to go a tiny bit deeper, to fit the base of the new knot.

I measured the best I could. I used a slip of paper, marked the size. Multiplied by 25.4 and divided by 3.14 and I got super close to 22mm so I suspect my mark might have been a tad bit off.
So I was going to order a knot from Goldennib. Is there a knot that you guys would recommend?
I was thinking the Premium Silvertip Badger. As I probably can't afford the High Mountain White.
Also, would you go with bulb or fan shape?
Thanks in advance!
Matt
