On a recent trip to England I could only fly with carry-on luggage so was forced to bring a cartridge razor, or electric, or just Chuck Norris it.
So having decided cartridge was the way to go, the only choice available at the time was a Mach3 Turbo so I pack this along with my new Muhle synthetic travel brush :tongue_sm and a Boots shave stick. On arrival at the hotel I had a quick shower and started using the razor. I was actually quite shocked at how little hair it was removing and how blunt the blade felt, even with a new cartridge in it! So I did a quick but crappy 2 pass shave (WTG & XTG) and wondered why I even bothered.
In the past I have travelled with a Sensor Excel which I consider this a far superior razor and 10 times as efficient. I can do one quick downward pass and be perfectly presentable for 5/6 hours, even with very little preparation and using Gillette foam (panic shave when I am pushed for time). This would never be possible with the Mach3.
Anyone else have a similar experience with modern M3 / Fusion 5000 blades?
Thanks
