It was recommended by Phil at classic edge .ca that you can coat the blade with wax to protect it for a number of shaves rather than oiling every time.
I had no luck locally finding renaisance wax but I found conservators wax at Lee Valley (similar Microcrystalline wax)....
does anyone here use either on their blade to help protect it?
