Have you ever bought something and down the road you asked yourself "why did you buy that? You just blew $xx."
Well after getting home I showed my wife what I got as she often shows a mock disinterest in my finds. She looked at this buy and immediately said " that looks horrible".
In a state of depression I wrote Nick and explained my situation. Being the true gentleman he is he said that he would gladly save me from my stupidity.:biggrin1: Actually not anything like that but that's how I felt. Felling dejected I sat down with some Wright's polish and went to work. There was so much black on the case with spiderweb wisp of scratches this was asking the impossible. (The photo is a stock B&B example, but my case was in much worse shape)
So with a little rubbing and polish the black started to come off! My heart skipped a beat. My confidence with each rub shined like the case before me. After I was done my wife was impressed. So was I. The razor looks new! The case also has had a remarkable transformation.
No cracks in the handle, straight teeth and flat out gorgeous. Guys I'm here to tell you that every once in awhile the razor angels flap their wings and blemishes blow away. My 1924 Tuckaway.
