Hey gang!
I switched from using a Dollar Shave Club 4-blade set up to a DE safety razor about a month ago and consider it to be one of the most significant changes I've made in years! Safety razor shaving has turned a chore into a ritual and I actually can't wait to get out of the shower every morning to perfect my method.
Up until this point, I've been using TOBS sandalwood cream in a tub and am pretty happy with it. I use a separate mug to make the lather (I almost ran out of it this morning which makes me think I'm using too much). I just acquired a nice vintage Old Spice milk glass shaving mug and am considering trying out some hard soap with it but am not sure the best way to go about it. Is it always recommended to work the soap in a secondary mug, or can I just use the one mug and make lather with the soap on the bottom? Will it dry out if it's left uncovered for daily shaving? Do I need to rinse the mug out WITH the soap sill in the bottom of it?
thanks!
