2 weeks travel from Connought to NYC area, not bad. Nice sense of anticipation and well worth the wait:
Physically, the brush is not as large as it looks in pics. It is actually very understated, clean and gives a quiet sophisticated look on the counter. It carries no 'old school' tone, no lather and scent look. I do prefer its modern sensibility - a design style that transcends ideas of wood and lathe.
Functionally , it sits comfortably in the hand, or should i say fingers. It lathers wonderfully with my Proraso cream. There is a half moment learning curve to hydrate properly. It easily holds 4 passes of lather unless you are foaming a runway. Its wonderfully soft, a treat to the face and i don't see the softness as any liability in lathering or applying.
So.. if this sounds glowing.. well.. I'm just pleased to report a nice thing.
Thanks to all in the forum who contributed so much information in threads to help in a difficult decision. The brush is not terribly expensive, i could have experimented with a few tries, but i really didn't want an epic search for a simple tool. I'm really pleased.
