I had entered this report the other day, but now see where my original post is now heading up another thread titled 'Captchas?'
Obviously, the two threads somehow merged. No big deal (to me anyway, I hope this has not occured to a bunch of threads). Easy enough to re-make my report thread:

I have been intermittantly having a issue where the enhanced editor 'eats spaces'. It gets into a mode where it only lets me enter one character per second. This appears to be a feedback issue - where the site has to echo back each character to the editor to give WYSIWYG.
Then, when it Auto Saves, it will not feed back anything at all for 18-20 seconds. Eventually, it will feed back everything entered - minus every one of the spaces which were entered. The end result looks like this:
Eventually,itwillfeedbackeverythingentered-minuseveryoneofthespaceswhichwereentered.
I then have to go back and edit in the missing spaces.....
Switching to the Basic editor solves the issue. It still Auto Saves, and the issue is gone. But no smilies and no picture posting. So, I switch to Basic when I encounter the issue and back to Enhanced later on. This morning at 8:30 EDT was such a time. Perhaps it is a site loading issue.
Usually, I am using a Tablet, but also have found the same issue with Windows XP, Vista, Win 7, various Mac OS, and several browsers under those OSs. I do not think this is an OS or Browser issue. Also, every other board I use does not act this way, only this one.
So, I have a workaround and it is good enough for me, but now that I seem to have narrowed it down to something odd with the site itself, I figured I ought to mention it. I did go back a few pages looking for mention of this, but did not see any.
