I've just received a Made In England 6/8 razor which is extra hollow ground and ready to sing, and it's struck me that I haven't seen an English razor like this before.
It is inscribed "Red Man" with an unflattering caricature of a Native American on the blade, and "The Celebrated Manfred Razor, Manfred Made In England".
There's no reference to any city of origin and it's got ivorine scales.
My guess is that it's inter-war and ground in Germany but assembled in England, and the German reference is omitted for political reasons.
Any thoughts? Are there in fact extra hollow blades that were ground in England?
