So I just picked this up from a guy that I met at a garage sale. He heard me talking to the owner about shaving gear, and after I was done talking he told me that he just found in an old box an old shaving kit that he'd be willing to get rid of. That was about 3 weeks ago. Fast forward to yesterday, we talked on the phone about meeting up today. So I meet the guy and he shows me this kit and says it's mine for $30. Done deal.
It's in rough shape, but all there and chromed metal, not plastic.
In the brush container is an old Rubberset (I think it says 150N)
A rusty, but definitely savable 51 SS
And the kit itself looks like it's Gator. It's a little stiff, but not cracked.
What's a good way to condition it and bring the gator skin back from the brink? Anybody got this one?
