So I finally ordered the Merker Vision. I can't say I am unhappy with my Gillete "fat boy", but who can resist the temptation to own a quarter pound razor, a true peice of machinary?
What I like about the Gillete was the adjustable setting, which I normally set to the highest value, 9, in order to cope with my particularly stubborn stubble.
Allegedly, the Vision is also adjustable, but I don't really understand how it works. The adjusment of the Gillete actually changes the angle of the blade. In constrast, the adjustment of the Vision only affects the size of the gap between the razor and the blade, and I don't see how this change would make for a more aggressive or closer shave.
Can someone help me understand?
