I bought one of those beautiful olivewood handles off the bay, with the intention of putting a silvertip knot in it. I do have a best badger brush, but when I use it, the brush becomes "mushy" and the hairs stick together. I am considering using the knot from my Omega 49, which I love.
Is the quality of a best badger vs silvertip noticeable, or very different? Or should I stick with boar, being as I get great results with it?
If I do use the Omega boar knot, would you recommend using 2 part epoxy or a hot glue gun? Seems the epoxy would be a very permanent bond, no?
