I broke out my Schick Krona today, which I haven't used in about 6 weeks. My go to razor has been my Merkur 1904. First pass was OK, second started to feel irritated, which never happened with the Krona before, weepers everywhere as well! Switched to the 1904 for the 3rd pass and finished with a very nice, near BBS shave.
So, was the rough shave just due to my not using the Krona for a while, since it probably needs a different technique than the 1904 and I just need to get used to it again? Or, have I just fallen out of love with it? I have noticed I prefer the 1904, possibly because I have a heavy beard, and the OC makes it a better shave for me.
Opinions?
