Out of curiosity, I decided to shave with my old gear tonight. Barbasol and Gillette Fusion. Even with horrible technique, I never had any complaints with carts. Tonight I used wet shaving techniques (no pressure, relather between passes etc.) I guess this is a good shave. I have my trouble areas with my DE, but my good areas turn out much better than this shave. Not that this one is bad, it's just not great. I think my expectations for a good shave have risen dramatically since I started using a DE. Maybe I should use the Fusion for the troublesome spots on my neck and chin and the DE for the bulk of the shave.
