I finally made the plunge into wet shaving. I had been using Tabac soap and a generic boar hair brush with a disposable for a while now. Yet, I have been wanting more. So, with the help of the members of Badger and Blade I made my first true wet shave purchase from The Italian Barber. The package arrived today so hopefully I will have a great shave tomorrow. My first order consisted of:
RazoRock Mission DE razor
Omega 10049 brush
Omega 10086
RazoRock "La Famiglia" shave soap and aftershave balm
Shavex Alum Block
Stypic Pencil
A sample pack of blades including:
Astra SP
Rapira Stainless
Rapira Platinum
Voskhod Teflon
Just wanted to say thanks for everyone's posts that have really helped me out. I would like to ask two questions.
Any last minute first shave advice?
I usually shave up my neck ATG with a single blade disposable. This is gives me far less irritation than WTG down my neck. Should I stick with this or go WTG as recommended for my first DE shave?
